JE p1

In Jewish tradition the 22 Hebrew letters form a circle or a crown with the Tav (ת) completing the circuit back to the ‘aleph’ (א).

Jewish Sages describe the foot of the Tav (ת) as pointing toward the Aleph ((א the letter which represents the Father – illustrating how every person must come to the Father through the Tav (ת) – a type of the Cross of the Messiah of Israel.

If we begin with Tav (ת) + אב (Av – father - Strong’s H8373) we derive the word ‘ta’av’ – (תאב) from the primitive root meaning ‘to desire’ or ‘to long for’ – “I have longed for Your salvation O Jehovah and Your law (torah) is my delight.” (Psalm 119 v 174).

PSALM 119 v 1/8 – the ‘EIGHT-FOLD’ALEPH!

Psalm 119 v 1/8 – the Aleph section is known by Rabbi’s as the ‘eight-fold aleph’

“Blessed (‘asheri’ – אשרי – Strong’s H835- meaning ‘happiness’) are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the TORAH of the LORD.” (Psalm 119 v 1).

The Hebrew word aleph – אלף when reversed becomes פלא - ‘pele’ meaning ‘miracle, wonder, remarkable, secret’ (Strong’s H6382 in Exodus 15 v 11, Judges 13 v 18).

THE ‘TAV’ GOES ON!

Some Sages say that contrary to the common belief that the Aleph-bet reaches its ultimate completion with its last letter.  They see that the letter Tav (ת) has a forward leg with a protruding foot which – in the words of David denotes the רגלי מבשר – ‘regel basar’ meaning ‘feet of the herald’ “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of Him who brings good news, that publish peace; that brings good tidings; that publishes salvation; that says unto Zion, Your God reigns.” (Isaiah 52 v 7).

The Tav’s foot is a signpost alluding to future miracles that are beyond human comprehension.  It alludes to the feet of Elijah who will stride upon the mountains of Jerusalem proclaiming the Final Redemption and the resurrection of the dead.

HOLY SPIRIT WAS THE GIVER OF THE TORAH WHICH IN HEBREW MEANS ‘TO TEACH, TO INSTRUCT’ (Strong’s H8451 – Deuteronomy 1 v 5)

Remembering Matthew 15 v 17/18 – “Do not think that I came to destroy the TORAH, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not one YOD or SERIF shall pass away from the TORAH, until all is accomplished.”
